Wild Roots Homestead and Therapy Collective

At Wild Roots we approach healing from the soil up. Trauma and difficult life experiences can rupture us from the ability to connect. Our approach promotes reengagement with all that makes us well and human: the land, our ancestors, our bodies, and the interconnectedness that sustains us. A unique blend of offerings that approach nervous system stabilization and whole-being wellness through counseling, somatic therapy, body work, and earth-connection practices. The main location is at the forest homestead where we strive to be in right relation with the land and build systems that honor and nurture the soil, water, and other beings we cohabitate with. Services are offered in English and Spanish.

Laura Addiss, LPCC

There are so many elements that inform my work as a practitioner. Drawing on a background of a decade spent living in and working with communities and traditions of Chavin, Peru, I am also a trained herbalist, ancestral reconnection practitioner, cranio-sacral therapist, and life-long horse woman. I attended Southwestern College for a MA in counseling in 2018 and have worked in the Santa Fe community offering Spanish/English bilingual therapy services for many years. My focus now is bringing together these different skill sets to provide accessible holistic therapy, while also deepening in my own relationship with the land at the homestead and learning how to be a good steward to place and community.
